"Rīgas satiksme" Retro tram is opening the summer season

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that the Retro tram is opening the summer season and will run from Ausekļa Street to Mežaparks via the Radio Street circle and back every Saturday and Sunday, as well as on festive days from May 1 till September 29.

Tickets are sold by the tram driver and are valid to the terminal. The price of one ticket is EUR 1.50 (LVL 1.05). When buying a ticket to Riga Zoo, holders of a Retro-tram ticket are granted a 1 euro (LVL 0.70) discount from the ticket’s basic price (discounts do not sum up). The Retro tram is also offered for rent, the rental price is EUR 85 per hour (LVL 59.74, VAT included).

Riga’s Retro tram is a 1909-1910 model fully restored in 1982, based on old drawings and photos. The tram has a capacity for 30 passengers, including 18 seats. From the Retro tram, you can enjoy the views of Riga centre, Latvia’s National Theatre, National Opera, Dailes Theatre, Vidzeme Market and other sights.
